SELAM – Nuru ya Jamii Initiative CBO is a registered community-based organization in Kisumu, Kenya. Founded by committed local members, we address urgent social and economic challenges affecting vulnerable families in Kisumu County.
Guided by our vision, mission, and core objectives, we work to create lasting positive change in communities across areas in Kenya.
To create a peaceful, empowered, and self-reliant community where everyone has equal opportunity to achieve socio-economic well-being and live with dignity.
To collaborate with community members and partners to enhance financial capability, promote social justice, and empower youth, women, and vulnerable families through education, skills development, economic initiatives, health awareness, and environmental sustainability programs.
To promote access to essential social services.

To support initiatives that address poverty, hunger, illiteracy, and disease.
To provide skills training and income opportunities for youth and women.
